Passion from the pharmacy world

After a career of over 20 years in the biopharmaceutical industry, Axes Health was founded in 2019 by Katrien Van Geyt. With her background as a pharmacist, she has always been passionate about the development of innovative medicines and their accessibility to patients. The Axes Health team consists of a total of four individuals who share this passion with her.

Successtory

To provide an example of what Axes Health does: they recently played a key role in making a medication available to Belgian patients that enables them to undergo a kidney transplant. Without this new medication, these patients would reject the donor kidney and remain on dialysis for life.

With the support of a cross-functional team, Axes Health successfully convinced the authorities that reimbursing this innovative treatment is not only a game changer for patients but also saves money for the healthcare system by preventing lifelong dialysis.
